Nelson Campbell

Nelson Campbell was born in Germantown, New York.  During the Civil War, he served in the New York Volunteers.  As a pioneer dock builder, he personally superintended the construction of the West Shore ferry piers in Weehawken, New Jersey.  He worked on the Poughkeepsie Bridge project.  He was an employee of the P. Sanford Ross Corporation in Jersey City, New Jersey.
